Upon reading these tweets, I had to revisit and explain his OG marketing strategy from back in 2000 🚀🌕
Remember how once upon a time PayPal grew from $0 to $295,510,000,000 using referral dollars to make money? 🤔💭
Before PayPal became successful, they had big dreams and many failures along the way. Similar to retail investors, there was a point in time when PayPal didn’t have access to 300 billion.
So, they created their own referral program in hopes of getting rich.
Elon speaks of overwhelming success in this video at the 11:20 mark.
PayPal did this because they wanted to attract attention, and they got it.
PayPal averaged 7-10% in daily growth during this period of it’s history.
Look at both PayPal’s year-over-year revenue growth, and long-term success as a large organization.
Elon, and his founders, discovered a valuable lesson: value evolves with rewards, time, and patience.
In just 6 months (March 2000 to mid-summer) PayPal grew to 5 million new members; before that, it only had 1 million. Sound familiar?
Online communities like r/wallstreetbets & r/wallstreetsilver are currently on a similar growth curve, all helping shine the spotlight on possible Wall Street crime.
What’s stopping us from doing the same thing as PayPal? 💸🔁📈
We can collaborate with trustworthy family and friends to create our own wealth because we have access to referral codes, social networks, and our wits.
There are thousands of apps, companies, and referral opportunities to use dependent on your country. Do your research.
The more you give, the more you get.
I’ve had a blast so far creating wealth and teaching this to 6 friends.
I invested my own social capital to help those who were skeptical.
